Contessa
Boston, MA
What I Order
Squash carpaccio, 10/10 Fusilli Genovese (pesto pasta), 9/10 Spicy lobster capellini (angle hair pasta), 8/10 Rachel' Rating Taste: 8/10, the appetizer was surprisingly my favorite part! The fresh squash, thinly sliced into carpaccio was bright and light. The pasta dishes were decadently rich. I would have liked the lobster pasta to be a little brighter, but it was very luxurious. Ambiance: 10/10, Contessa is one of the most luxurious restaurants in Boston and it never disappoints! Visit Again: 9/10, their food is great and the ambiance is beautiful, but it is rather hard to get a reservation. You have to book a month in advance and still it books up fast. The menu does not change frequently so it does not often have me coming back more than once a year, and even then, their classics are still on the menu. I would like to see if they can change their menu more frequently. |
Fox & the Knife
South Boston, MA
What I Order
Aperitivo flight Pepe e cacio Milanese de maiale Rachel' Rating Taste: 9/10 Ambiance: 9/10, smaller than I expected, but had a cozy elegant atmosphere. Visit Again: 8/10, they do not have an allergy friendly menu. It is hard if you have any allergy restrictions, but the food you can order and the atmosphere is great. |
