Sometimes we all need some homemade chocolate chip cookies!

Whipping up a batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies will always impress me! This time, I was treated to a fresh batch from Quinn, my brother's girlfriend. I have been eating dinner with them once a week for almost 2 months now. It is one of my favorites things, because I get to spend time with people who mean the most to me! Quinn is just an amazing cook in general, but she also loves to bake. After a chick pea, sweat potato curry, she made us the cookies.

What was funny was that while my brother and I were picking a few things up from the market for dinner, we were talking about how we wanted chocolate chip cookies, and when we got back to their apartment, Quinn had already started on them!

I could go into the detail of how she made them, but I think the biggest take away is that the cookies will continue to bake once you take them out of the oven and they are just on the tray. This worked perfect for one batch because she took them out a bit too soon, but let them sit and they were perfect!

The best kind of baked goods, are the kind that someone else makes to share! I was very happy to have this nice sweet treat after our weekend dinner. :)
