Well, I Burned it

So I thought I was on a roll with this whole baking thing... But I tried making a Blackberry and Raspberry Friand tonight, and I over cooked it. I got a little over confident and just figured it would come out okay. I think the problem was in the size of pan. It was a 13 inch round pan, when the recipe called for 9 by 13 inch pan. As I was pouring the batter I could tell that it didn't seem right. 

Friand is a almond based cake, but if you look at the recipe, it is essentially just confectionery sugar. The short of it is, the cake came short of my expectations. The positive of it is, I really want to try making Madeleine cookies next.
